For our client Novartis Pharma AG in Basel, we are looking for a motivated and reliable (m/f/d)

Legal Specialist 100%

• Act as Senior Legal Counsel for major global Procurement and high-impact D/D & IT projects
• Manage key global projects within the Global Procurement, D/D & IT Legal function, aligned with the Head of Legal
• Provide legal advice and support to Procurement and D/D & IT clients
• Oversee and lead contract drafting, review, and negotiation for goods, services, and IT procurement (e.g., infrastructure, cloud, software)
• Deliver timely, accurate, and business-focused legal advice on operational, strategic, and governance matters
• Provide training to Procurement and D/D & IT teams
• Lead complex commercial agreement negotiations
• Manage disputes and assess legal risks, balancing company interests
• Drive innovation and contribute to new strategies and legal technologies
• Strengthen departmental knowledge by sharing best practices
• Manage external counsel and legal costs
• Support the Head of Legal in executing the Procurement, D/D & IT legal strategy
• Adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment

• Minimum 6+ years post-bar experience or 12 years after Swiss master of law, gained either within a multinational corporation and/or top-tier law firm
• Substantial, relevant experience in leading large and complex legal transactions in Procurement and Data/Digital & IT

• 2 – 5 years minimum post-bar experience or 10 years after Swiss master of law, gained either within a multinational corporation and/or top-tier law firm
• Experience in drafting contracts and managing disputes in Procurement and Data/Digital & IT
• For both we are looking for a Swiss lawyer or someone who has worked on Swiss laws previously, who speaks English, German is an absolute plus
