On behalf of our client, an international chemical and biological raw materials manufacturer, based in St. Gallen, albedis is looking for an experienced German speaking Finance Controller (80%).

Description de la mission

Ensure that procedures for financial record-keeping, reporting, and forecasting are established and functioning effectively across the organization.
Take responsibility for monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closings and manage cash flow. Oversee VAT filings in Switzerland, including audits.
Responsible for export customs declarations. Manage asset accounting and financial leasing.
Serve as the main point of contact for accounting and tax-related questions from banks, insurance companies, authorities, and auditors.
Assist with the preparation of consolidated annual, quarterly, and monthly financial statements (according to UK and Swiss GAAP) and with monitoring financial audits.
SAP: Co-lead financial projects related to the implementation of SAP S/4HANA and further development of the group consolidation tool, LucaNet.
Support continuous improvement processes in finance.
Assist global tax and financial management initiatives in close collaboration with subsidiaries.

Profil attendu pour l'emploi

Finance and Accounting professional with a federal diploma of higher education. At least 6 years of experience in a similar position.
Experience with accounting standards (Swiss GAAP, Swiss Code of Obligations). Minimum 2 years of leadership experience.
Fluent in German and, ideally, English, both written and spoken.
In-depth knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards. Analytical and detail-oriented work approach with strong problem-solving skills.
Proactive and curious personality, ready to embrace new challenges.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with teams in different locations.

Desirable Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, experience in the industry and/or tax field. Familiarity with accounting standards UK GAAP, IFRS.
Proficiency with ERP systems, particularly SAP.
Knowledge in cash management and financial administration.
